When it comes to indulgent treats, few things top a dollop of creamy whipped cream. But why stick with the ordinary when you can add a touch of warmth and spice to your desserts? Spiced whipped cream is a great ingredient to have on hand during the fall season. It will upgrade breakfasts, desserts and drinks and add some flair to your fare.
Spicing Up the Ordinary
Traditional whipped cream is delightful, however adding a few extra ingredients adds only minimal time to your preparation. And these additions definitely transform your desserts into something a little more extraordinary. We love this spiced cream topping our homemade roasted coffee, oatmeal pancakes, pumpkin sourdough coffee cake, and our muddled apple cider cocktail.
Customizable Whipped Bliss
The beauty of spiced whipped cream lies in its versatility. At first, start with a basic whipped cream recipe – heavy cream, sugar, and a touch of vanilla. And this is where the fun begins. Add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and maybe even some cardamom and allspice. The result? A luscious, fragrant cream that’s perfect for autumn. Adjust the spices to your taste – more cinnamon for extra warmth, a dash more of clove for complexity, or extra nutmeg for a hint of sweetness. Your spiced whipped cream becomes uniquely yours.
Create Your Own Whipped Cream Seasonal Flavors
Not only is spiced whipped cream not limited to fall; it can complement many seasonal desserts:
- Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream: Blend pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and a pinch of ginger into your cream for a dreamy topping on pumpkin pie, coffee cake or coffee.
- Peppermint Crunch: Crush peppermint candies and fold them into your whipped cream for a minty sensation that’s great for brownies and especially magnificent for hot chocolate.
- Caramel Infusion: A drizzle of caramel sauce folded into whipped cream adds a rich, buttery flavor to your sweets.
- Berry Burst: For a burst of spring or summer flavor, try folding in crushed/powdered dehydrated berries (strawberries or blueberries come to mind) to your whipped cream. This vibrant topping will enhance everything from shortcakes to fresh fruit.
Our whipped spiced topping adds warmth, flavor, and a personal touch to your creations. Whether you’re crafting seasonal pies, hot beverages, breakfast pastries or indulgent sundaes, a dollop of spiced whipped cream can make all the difference. With all this in mind, we would love to hear about your experience with our spiced whipped cream. And also please let us know your favorite seasonal variations in the comments below.
